Film Screenings: The TCOF sponsors film
screenings and work-in-progress previews throughout the year, in addition
to hosting an annual film series that unites
directors of color and their works with Boston audiences. Past TCOF Film Series
directors include Eriq LaSalle (ER, Coming to America), who, in 2003, screened
his psychological thriller, “Crazy as Hell,” with friend and “Crazy” co-star
Michael Beach (Waiting to Exhale, Soul Food). In 2002, TV star and film director
Tim Reid (Sister to Sister, WKRP in Cincinnati) unveiled his romantic drama, “Asunder,” at
Boston’s Strand Theater.
Local filmmakers are invited to submit to TCOF’s Boston
Public Library
Screening and Staged Reading Series. Held at the BPL’s Copley Square
Site, this TCOF event allows veteran and aspiring filmmakers and playwrights
to show
their work and receive constructive criticism from an audience of their peers.

organized peer-lead workshops throughout the year to network and review
scripts.
