What is The Color of Film Collaborative?

The Color of Film Collaborative is a non-profit organization that works to support media makers of color and others who have an interest in creating and developing new and diverse images of people of color in film, video and performing arts. See Membership.

Does The Color of Film Collaborative work with other organizations?

Yes, the TCOF has collaborated with Ramsey Park Community Advisory Committee to produce and write a short reenactment piece on the Negro Baseball League, hire actors, and perform the piece at the opening of the Negro Baseball Museum in Boston.

The TCOF collaborates with Filmmakers Collaborative in Waltham to bring filmmakers and their films to area communities to teach youth the filmmaking process.

The TCOF collaborates with ACT Roxbury Consortium on a number of different events, the largest being the Roxbury Film Festival, which takes place the third weekend in August each year and celebrates the vision and the voice of independent filmmakers of color.
